NEPSE Extends Trading Hours to Compensate for Delay Caused by Technical Glitch

In an unprecedented move today, November 13th, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) found itself compelled to extend the trading period due to an unforeseen technical issue that delayed the market opening.

The hiccup arose as the NEPSE system experienced a power outage, causing an initial delay of 24 minutes in the commencement of trading activities.

In response to this unexpected disruption, NEPSE decided to elongate the trading hours by precisely the same duration, ensuring that investors had the opportunity to make up for lost time. The stock market will remain open till 3:24pm since the trading started from 11:24am, allowing participants to engage in transactions and navigate the market developments.
