NEPSE Fall Mere 0.42% to Settle at 2,060.15 Levels; Only Five Sector Closes Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 8.75 points, or 0.42%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,060.15 points. The previous trading day saw a  loss of 1.93 points for the index as well.

Today the market started with the index opening at 2072.45, hitting an intraday low of 2,056.87, and reaching an intraday high of 2,096.44.

During today's trading, there were 306 different stocks traded in 102,905 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 11,892,559 with a total turnover of Rs. 4.48 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.00 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.05 Kharba.

 

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 20.13 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 579.

 

Similarly, today's highest gainer is CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) and Chirkhwa Hydropower Limited (CKHL) at 10%. Following the line are Nepal Warehousing Company Limited (NWCL) and Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY) at 9.99% and MKCL at 9.98% each.

 

On the flip side, Molung Hydropower Company Limited (MHCL) experienced the highest loss of 8.09%.

 

In terms of sector indices, only five sectors closed in green today. The "Investment Index and Manufacturing And Processing" saw the highest gain of 1.07%, while the "HydroPower Index" saw a loss of 1.72%.
