NEPSE Falls by 7.75 Points; NGPL Tops Turnover While Overall Volume Stood at Rs. 8.77 Arba

In today's session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) lost 7.75 points (0.28%) to close at 2,698.28. This follows a 16.68-point gain in the previous session.

The index opened at 2,704.19, reaching an intraday high of 2,716.70 and a low of 2,691.07. The total turnover stood at Rs. 8.77 Arba, with 21,203,766 shares exchanged across 319 companies through 78,678 transactions.

Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 53.99 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 340.

Two companies led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.

Meanwhile, 12 % Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (GWFD83) recorded the steepest drop, falling 7.75%.

Among sectors, the Hydropower Index posted the highest gain of 0.77%, whereas the Trading Index saw the highest decline of 1.52%.
