NEPSE Falls by 8.62 Points on the Last Trading Day of the Year; CHDC Tops Turnover, GWFD83 and NMIC HIt Positive Circuit

In today's session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) fell by 8.62 points (0.32%) to close at 2,662.08. This follows a 5.57-point loss in the previous session.
The index opened at 2,673.01, reaching an intraday high of 2,676.70 and a low of 2,657.32. The total turnover stood at Rs. 6.28 Arba, with 13,189,328 shares exchanged across 322 companies through 54,361 transactions.
CEDB Holdings Limited (CHDC) led the turnover chart, recording Rs. 45.32 Crores in trades and closing at Rs. 2,557 per share.
12 % Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (GWFD83) and Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited (NMIC) topped the gainers' list.
Meanwhile, Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) recorded the steepest drop, falling 10%.
Among sectors, the Investment Index posted the highest gain of 1.68%, whereas the Trading Index saw the highest decline of 1.40%.
