The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a significant drop today, shedding 58.05 points (2.19%) and closing at 2,582.73, following an incline of 26.10 points in the previous session.
The trading session commenced at 2,652.87, with the index oscillating between a high of 2,652.87 and a low of 2,581.32. The day's total turnover reached Rs. 5.18 Arba, encompassing 11,155,955 shares traded across 325 companies through 62,021 transactions.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover chart, recording trades worth Rs. 23.2 Crores, with its stock closing at Rs. 938.50.
9.5% NCC Debenture 2086 (NCCD86) topped the gainers’ list with a 4.52% surge.
Meanwhile, Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC) recorded the steepest drop, sliding 9.97%.
Sector-wise, the Finance Index posted the highest loss of 3.41%, whereas the Mutual Fund Index lost the least by 0.51%.
