NEPSE Gains 39.70 Points, Extends Rally to Third Consecutive Day; Overall Volume Inclined to Rs. 9.31 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a rise of 39.70 points (1.46%) today, closing at 2,755.47. This marks the third consecutive session of gains, with the index accumulating a total increase of 88.94 points over three trading days. In the previous session, NEPSE had climbed by 33.41 points.

The market opened at 2,721.52 and exhibited volatility throughout the session, reaching an intraday low of 2,721.35 and a high of 2,755.98. Trading activity was vigorous, with a total turnover of Rs. 9.31 Arba generated from the exchange of 17,183,854 shares across 316 companies in 89,000 transactions.

Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) led the market in turnover, recording trading worth Rs. 34.01 crores and closing at Rs. 877.30.

Meanwhile, eight scrips achieved the maximum daily gain of 10 percent each.

Conversely, Mithila LaghuBitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBBL) experienced the steepest decline, falling by 10 percent.

Among the sectoral indices, the Trading Index posted the highest gain of 9.27 percent, while the Mutual Fund Index saw the smallest rise of 0.09 percent. The Finance Sector was the only one to close in the red, indicating mixed performance across the board.
