NEPSE gains double digits for the second consecutive day with high turnover; three microfinance companies hit the positive circuit

The market today was in the green zone for the whole day and closed with gain of 1.60% or 21.26 points, gaining double digits for the second consecutive trading day. The benchmark index closed at 1346.64 points. The turnover stood at a high of Rs.2.07 Arba achieved through trade of 5,346,508 units of shares traded through 20,635 transactions trading scrips of 175 listed companies in the process.

Surya Life insurance Company Limited (SLICL) posted the highest turnover of Rs.10.11 Crore with LTP at Rs.470 per share. Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 234,861 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.264 per share.

Three microfinance companies hit the positive circuit today. They were, Grameen Bikas Laghubitta (GBLBS), Naya Nepal Laghubitta (NNLB) and Mithila Laghubitta (MLBBL). Guheswori Merchant Bank and Finance Limited (GMFIL) was today’s top loser after losing 5.03% or 7 points to close at Rs.132 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 4.99 points and closed at 286.75 points while Float Index gained 1.59 points and closed at 95.65 points.

Only Trading and Life Insurance sector lost minimum points today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
