NEPSE Index Breaks 2,900 Barrier, Closes at 2,931.65 Points with Unprecedented Rs. 27.24 Arba Turnover; Ten Scrips Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index continued its bullish run today, closing at 2,931.65 points, marking a significant gain of 70.81 points or 2.47% from the previous day. This follows a strong performance in the prior session, where the index gained 94.53 points, indicating sustained upward momentum in the market.
The trading day began with the index opening at 2,876.48 points. Throughout the session, the index fluctuated, reaching an intraday low of 2,876.46 points and a high of 2,937.40 points before settling at its closing value.
The session was marked by intense trading activity, with 339 scrips traded across 283,047 transactions, resulting in a historic turnover of Rs. 27.24 Arba—the highest ever in NEPSE's history, surpassing yesterday’s record of Rs. 25.77 Arba. The market capitalization soared to Rs. 46.53 Kharba, while the float market capitalization reached Rs. 16.23 Kharba, reflecting significant investor confidence.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the market in turnover, with a value of Rs. 1.22 Arba, closing at Rs. 1,000.10 per share.
Ten companies hit the upper circuit limit of 10%.
Meanwhile, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) suffered the highest loss, dropping by 10%.
Sector-wise, the "Life Insurance Index" led the gains with a 5.85% increase, while the "Manufacturing and Processing Index" had the highest loss at 1.19%, rounding out a day of widespread market optimism.
