NEPSE Index Climbs 11.58 Points to 2,588.35 with Banking Sector Leading Gains

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a rise of 11.58 points (0.44%), closing at 2,588.35 today. The session marked a recovery from the previous day’s slight decline of 4 points.

The index fluctuated throughout the day, opening at 2,601.29 points, peaking at 2,643.51, and hitting a low of 2,570.27 before settling.

In today's session, a total of 325 scrips were traded through 72,957 transactions, resulting in a volume of 12,485,731 shares. This activity led to a turnover of Rs. 5.09 Arba.

CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) led the turnover chart, trading Rs. 27.8 crore worth of shares and closing at Rs. 2,031.

Three companies achieved the day’s highest gains of 10%.

Meanwhile, Rawa Energy Development Limited (RAWA) dropped by 8.65%, marking the session’s biggest loss.

Sector-wise, the Banking SubIndex led with a 1.01% increase, while the Hotels and Tourism Index declined by 0.61%.
