NEPSE Index Climbs to 2,485.94, Adding 245 Points Over Four Trading Days; Overall Turnover at Rs. 15.23 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a remarkable surge, closing at 2,485.94 with a substantial gain of 61.61 points or 2.54% from the previous trading day's close. This marks an impressive gain of approximately 245.51 points over the last four sessions.
The trading session commenced with the index opening at 2,421.49 points, reaching an intraday low of 2,408.25 points and an intraday high of 2,494.71 points before settling at its closing value of 2,485.94.
During the day's trading, a total of 315 scrips were exchanged through 177,467 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 41,195,534, resulting in a significant turnover of Rs. 15.23 Arba.
Leading the market, Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) recorded the highest turnover with a value of Rs. 34.10 crores, closing at Rs. 512.
In terms of individual stock performance, three companies achieved the highest gain of 10% each, reaching the positive circuit for the day.
Conversely, Sikles Hydropower Limited (SIKLES) saw the steepest decline, losing 10% for the day.
Regarding sector indices, all sectors closed in the green. The Trading Index registered the highest gain with an increase of 6.8%, while the Non-Life Insurance sector posted the smallest gain of 0.65%.
