NEPSE Index closes at 1166.21 points after trade of more than 2 million units of shares; four companies hit the positive circuit

The market today reached a high of 1176.70 points, closing for the day with loss of 0.20% or 2.37 points. The benchmark index stood at 1166.21 points with turnover of Rs.72.16 Crore achieved through trade of 2,029,815 units of shares traded through 9,018 transactions trading scrips of 171 listed companies in the process.
Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) led in terms of turnover with massive turnover of Rs.10.33 Crore. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.445 per share. Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 241,620 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stock stood at Rs.316 per share.
Four companies hit the positive circuit today, they were Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (SMB), Kanchan Development Bank (KADBL), Panchthar Power Company (PPCL) and Chhyangdi Hydropower Limited (CHL). Five hydropower companies featured in the top losers list. Ankhu Khola Jalavidhyut (AKJCL) lost the most at 7.01% or 4 points, closing at Rs.53 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 0.32 points and closed at 254.21 points while Float Index lost 0.15 points and closed at 86.43 points.
Banking, Trading, Finance, Others and Mutual Funds were among gaining sub-indices today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points today.
