NEPSE Index closes at 21 months high after gaining minimal points; two hydropower companies hit the positive circuit

The market today fell below 1340 points at its lowest and closed with minimal gain of 0.18% or 2.49 points. The benchmark index closed at 1349.13 points after gaining for the third consecutive day. The turnover amount stood at Rs.1.61 Arba achieved through trade of 4,748,829 units of shares traded through 17,633 transactions trading scrips of 177 listed companies in the process.
Neco Insurance Limited (NIL) posted the highest turnover at Rs.6.56 Crore with LTP at Rs.557 per share. National Hydropower Company (NHPC) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 218,849 units of shares. The LTP of the hydropower stock stood at Rs.59 per share.
Two hydropower companies hit the positive circuit today. Garima Bikas Bank (GBBL) gained 9.36% followed by NHPC and Chhyangdi Hydropower Limited (CHL) with gain of 9.26% and 9.09% respectively. Multipurpose Finance Limited (MPFL) was today’s top loser after losing 5.22% or 8 points to close at Rs.145 per share.
Sensitive Index gained 1.16 points and closed at 287.91 points while Float Index gained 0.23 points and closed at 95.87 points.
