NEPSE Index Continues 6th Consecutive Day of Decline; SNLI Sees Highest Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index recorded a decrease of 26.81 points or 1.33% from the previous day's closing, settling at 1,979.02 points. The index had incurred a loss of 20.76 points in the trading session before.
At the commencement of today's trading, the market initiated with the index at 2,006.89, reaching an intraday peak of 2,011.81 and encountering a low of 1,976.68.
During today's trading session, a total of 317 different stocks were traded in 71,880 transactions. The volume of shares traded totaled 8,546,930, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 3.08 Arba. The market capitalization was reported at Rs. 31.10 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.65 Kharba.
Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (SNLI) led in turnover, amassing Rs. 25.18 crores and concluding the day with a market price of Rs. 599.80. Additionally, on the same day, Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company proposed dividends and right shares to its shareholders.
On a positive note, Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited (BNL) witnessed positive circuits today.
However, Two companies witnessed negative positive circuits for today.
In sector indices, Two sectors indices closed in the green today. The "Finance Index" saw the highest gain of 1.40%, while the "HydroPower Index" experienced a loss of 2.42%.
