NEPSE Index Couldn't Sustain Above Psychological 2200 Levels; Records Highest Turnover In 2 Years

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 12.10 points, or 0.55%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,163.06 points. The previous trading day saw a gain of 54.54 points for the index.
Today the market started with the index opening at 2,181.8 hitting an intraday low of 2,154.02, and reaching an intraday high of 2,215.54.
During today's trading, there were 300 different stocks traded in 2,10,471 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 33,525,702 with a total turnover of Rs. 9.76 Arba, this is the highest turnover in 2 years. Last time on 16th January 2022, the turnover was Rs. 9.67 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 33.97 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.75 Kharba.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 65.84 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 602.
Similarly, Three companies hit the positive circuit for today.
On the flip side, Eastern Hydropower Limited (EHPL) and Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited (BEDC) experienced the highest loss of 10%.
In terms of sector indices, Four sectors closed in green today. The "Others Index" saw the highest gain of 1.94%, while the "Finance Index" saw a loss of 3.51%.
