The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a loss today, falling by 13.62 points (0.47%) to close at 2,876.66. This follows a previous session gain of 75.24 points.
The trading session commenced at 2,829.12, with the index oscillating between a high of 2,890.28 and a low of 2,826.86. The day's total turnover reached Rs. 14.28 Arba, encompassing 31,241,258 shares traded across 300 companies through 139,555 transactions.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 1.38 Arba, with its stock closing at Rs. 1,093.
Guardian Micro Life Insurance Limited (GMLI) emerged as the top gainer with a 10% increase.
Conversely, Samaj Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) faced the steepest decline, dropping by 10%.
Sector-wise, the Others Index registered the highest gain, advancing by 1.68%, while the Hotels and Tourism Index experienced a decline of 1.88%.
