NEPSE Index Couldn't Sustain Yesterday's Gain; Plummets 1.30% Today While Volume Stood at Rs. 4.84 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a decline of 32.81 points (1.30%), closing at 2,486.76, after gaining 58.93 points in the previous session.

The index fluctuated throughout the day, starting at 2,519.04 points, reaching an intraday low of 2,479.65, and dipping to a low of 2,541.69 before settling.

In today's session, a total of 322 scrips were traded through 65,258 transactions, resulting in a volume of 13,691,596 shares. This activity led to a turnover of Rs. 4.84 Arba. The market capitalization was Rs. 39.54 Kharba, with the float market capitalization at Rs. 13.93 Kharba.

 

Api Power Company Ltd. (API) led the turnover chart, trading Rs. 47.99 crore worth of shares and closing at Rs. 284.10.

 

Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) achieved the day’s highest gain of 9.85%.

 

Meanwhile, Green Ventures Limited (GVL) marked the session’s biggest loss of 10%.

 

Sector-wise, the Hotels And Tourism Index led with a 2.34% decrease, while the Trading Index inclined by the highest 1.01%.
