NEPSE Index Declines by 0.22% to Close at 2,073.19 Levels; Five Companies Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index recorded a decline of 0.22% today, dropping by 4.59 points to close at 2,073.19 points. This follows a loss of 1.93 points in the previous trading session.
The trading day commenced with the index at 2,093.71 points, marking the intraday high, and saw a low of 2,068.84 points before settling at the closing value of 2,073.19 points.
Today's trading session involved 313 stocks across 69,219 transactions, with a total trading volume of 10,452,128 shares. The overall turnover reached Rs. 5.18 Arba, with a market capitalization of Rs. 32.87 Kharba and a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.12 Kharba.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) led the market in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 32.03 crores and closing at Rs. 650 per share.
Five companies experienced the highest gains, each surging by 10% and hitting the positive circuit.
Conversely, Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) faced a significant loss, dropping by 10%.
In sector performance, five sector indices concluded the day in positive territory. The "Hotels and Tourism Index" recorded the highest sectoral gain of 2.92%, while the "Trading Index" saw the largest loss, declining by 1.54%.
