NEPSE Index Dips 0.36% to Close at 2,738.06 Levels; EDBL Led in Turnover While Five Scrips Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a decline of 9.99 points (0.36%) today, closing at 2,738.06. In the previous session, NEPSE had fallen by 8.30 points.

The market opened at 2,762.3 and exhibited volatility throughout the session, reaching an intraday low of 2,707.94 and a high of 2,774.14. Trading activity was vigorous, with a total turnover of Rs. 8.83 Arba generated from the exchange of 16,767,168 shares across 314 companies in 82,602 transactions.

Excel Development Bank Ltd. (EDBL) led the market in turnover, recording trading worth Rs. 34.31 crores and closing at Rs. 749.

Meanwhile, five scrips achieved the maximum daily gain of 10 percent each.

Conversely, Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) experienced the steepest decline, falling by 10 percent.

Among the sectoral indices, the Trading Index posted the highest gain of 9.07 percent, while the Finance Index saw the highest loss of 2.96 percent.
