NEPSE Index Dips 0.42% to Close at 2,699.81 Levels; Sahas Urja Led in Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit decline of 11.64 points (0.42%) to close at 2,699.81, following a minimal 4.45-point loss in the previous session.

Opening at 2,713.88, NEPSE fluctuated throughout the day, reaching a high of 2,720.48 and a low of 2,691.56. The total turnover stood at Rs. 9.24 Arba, with 18,680,392 shares traded across 315 companies in 92,326 transactions.

Sahas Urja Limited (SAHAS) led in turnover, recording transactions worth Rs. 31.35 crores. Its stock closed at Rs. 507.90.

Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company Limited (ULHC) hit the 10% upper circuit, topping the gainers' list.

Meanwhile, two scrips saw the steepest decline, dropping 10% each.

Among sectoral indices, the Finance Index registered the highest gain, rising 1.58%, while the Development Index saw the biggest drop, declining by 1.53%.
