NEPSE Index Dips 0.57% to Close at 2,734.93 Levels; Nepal Finance Led in Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss of 15.93 points (0.57%) today, closing at 2,734.93. This follows a loss of 24.97 points in the previous trading session.
The market opened at 2,752.38 and exhibited volatility, reaching an intraday low of 2,717.34 and a high of 2,764.29. The session saw robust activity, with a turnover of Rs. 8.36 Arba through 87,476 transactions, involving 16,797,727 shares from 307 companies.
Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) led in turnover, recording trades worth Rs. 42.19 crores and closing at Rs. 1,155 per share.
Meanwhile, Khanikhola Hydropower Co. Ltd. (KKHC) stood out as the top gainer, hitting the upper circuit with a 9.98% increase.
On the losing end, Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (SMB) faced the sharpest decline, dropping by 8.37%.
Sector-wise, performance was mixed. The Trading Index emerged as the top-performing sector with a 3.67% gain, while the Hotels and Tourism Index suffered the steepest loss, declining by 3.63%.
