NEPSE Index Drops by 22.36 Points; Trading Sector Suffers Significant Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a decline of 22.36 points (0.89%), closing at 2,464.40, after losing 32.81 points in the previous session.
The index fluctuated throughout the day, starting at 2,483.91 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,494.57, and dipping to a low of 2,442.63 before settling to the closing value.
In today's session, a total of 327 scrips were traded through 58,401 transactions, resulting in a volume of 10,311,885 shares. This activity led to a turnover of Rs. 4.05 Arba. The market capitalization was Rs. 39.18 Kharba, with the float market capitalization at Rs. 13.81 Kharba.
NLG Insurance Company Limited (NLG) led the turnover chart, trading Rs. 15.92 crore worth of shares and closing at Rs. 1,375.
Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) achieved the day’s highest gain of 6.55%.
Meanwhile, Upper Syange Hydropower Limited (USHL) marked the session’s biggest loss of 9.99%.
Sector-wise, the Trading Index led with a 2.97% decrease, while the Manufacturing and Processing Index inclined by the highest 1.03%.
