NEPSE Index falls below 1300 points after losing double digit points; five companies hit the negative circuit

The market today lost double digit points and fell below 1300 points. The benchmark index lost 3.37% or 44.33 points and closed at 1272.06 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.1.46 Arba which was achieved through trade of 4,367,775 units of shares traded through 18,257 transactions trading scrips of 175 listed companies in the process.
NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) posted the highest turnover at Rs.10.07 Crore with LTP at Rs.508 per share. NMB Bank Limited (NMB) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 235,439 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.388 per share.
Joshi Hydropower Development Company (JOSHI) was today’s top gainer as it gained 7.69% or 4 points and closed at Rs.56 per share. Five companies hit the negative circuit today led by Siddhartha Insurance Limited (SIL) with loss of 10% or 51 points and LTP at Rs.459 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 8.53 points and closed at 274.59 points while Float Index lost 3.06 points and closed at 90.37 points.
Only mutual funds gained minimal of 0.46% while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points. Trading, Non-Life Insurance and Life Insurance sectors were among top losers.
