NEPSE Index Falls by 14.12 Points to Close at 2,734.83 Levels; Janaki Finance Tops Turnover List

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) ended the trading session in the red, closing at 2,734.83 points, down by 14.12 points or 0.51%. This follows a loss of 11.24 points in the previous session.

The index opened at 2,754.56 points and fluctuated between a low of 2,728.11 and a high of 2,757.38 during the session. A total of 15,362,206 shares from 308 companies were traded in 77,861 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 7.91 Arba.

Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) led the turnover with Rs. 33.86 crores, closing at Rs. 979.90.

Additionally, five stocks hit the positive circuit.

Meanwhile, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) saw the largest decline of the day, dropping by 10%.

In terms of sector performance, the "Finance Index" stood out, gaining 4.20%, while the "Trading Index" posted the biggest loss, falling by 1.61%.
