NEPSE Index Falls by 31.43 Points to Close at 2,596.82 Levels; Janaki Finance Tops Turnover List

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by 31.43 points (1.19%) today, closing at 2,596.82, following a minimal loss of 5.60 points in the previous session.

The market opened at 2,626.62 and saw fluctuations, reaching an intraday high of 2,634.57 and a low of 2,593.18.

The total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 4.76 Arba, with 55,989 transactions involving 9,832,308 shares across 310 companies.

 

Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) led the turnover chart with Rs. 17.60 crores in trades, closing at Rs. 914.40 per share.

 

On the gainers' side, Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (SMB) posted the highest growth, rising by 10%.

 

Conversely, Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC) saw a significant drop of 9.21%.

 

Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the largest decline, falling 2.73%, while the Mutual Fund Index saw the smallest drop at 0.26%.
