NEPSE Index Falls by 9.19 Points, Led by Decline in Banking Sector; ICFC Finance Tops Turnover List

The NEPSE index concluded today's trading at 2,617.95 points, marking a dip of 9.19 points (0.34%) from the previous close. This follows an earlier significant drop of 18.25 points in the last trading session.

Opening at 2,629.84, the index saw fluctuations, peaking at 2,632.94 before hitting its intraday low of 2,610.14 points.

Today’s trading involved 320 stocks across 56,646 transactions, with 11,134,178 shares exchanged, bringing the turnover to Rs. 4.73 Arba. 

ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) led in turnover, recording Rs. 32.64 crores and closing at Rs. 801.10.

Additionally, four companies surged to hit the positive circuit.

Meanwhile Nepal SBI Bank Limited (SBI) registered the day’s biggest loss, falling by 6.79%.

Among sectors, the Life Insurance Index posted the strongest growth with a 1.15% gain, whereas the Banking Index recorded the largest sector loss, down by 1.30%.
