NEPSE Index Gains Minimal 0.13% While Investment Sector Leads; Three Companies Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a notable increase today, closing at 2,786.40 points, a rise of 3.80 points or 0.13% from the previous session. In contrast, the prior session experienced a sharp decline of 111.96 points, finishing at 2,782.60 points.

The trading day commenced with the index at 2,791.09 points and witnessed significant fluctuations, reaching an intraday high of 2,860.89 points and a low of 2,761.02 points before settling at the closing value.

The session was marked by intense trading activity, with 326 scrips exchanged across 168,175 transactions, involving 35,007,039 shares and generating a turnover of Rs. 13.72 Arba. Market capitalization surged to Rs. 44.25 Kharba, while the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 15.61 Kharba.

 

Chandragiri Hills Limited (CGH) led the market in turnover, recording Rs. 43.07 Crore and closing at Rs. 1,025 per share.

 

Three companies hit the upper circuit limit of 10%.

 

Conversely, Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL) faced the steepest loss, dropping by 6.88%.

 

When analyzing sector indices, six sectors ended in the red. The Investment Index led the gains with a 1.01% increase, while the Finance Index recorded the largest loss, declining by 1.69%.
