NEPSE Index Gains Minimal 0.20% While Development Bank Sector Leads; Seven Companies Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a minimal incline today to close at 2,974.46 points, an increase of 6.01 points or 0.20% from the previous session. In the previous session, the index had a minimal gain of 2.11 points to close at 2,968.44 levels.

The trading day saw the index open at 2,974.78 points and fluctuate significantly, reaching an intraday high of 3,018.93 points and a low of 2,967.47 points before settling at its closing value.

Intense trading activity marked the session, with 333 scrips traded across 216,455 transactions, involving 40,951,720 shares and resulting in a turnover of Rs. 19.16 Arba. The market capitalization soared to Rs. 47.24 Kharba, while the float market capitalization reached Rs. 16.69 Kharba.

 

Shine Resunga Development Bank Ltd. (SHINE) led the market in turnover, with Rs. 1.03 Arba, closing at Rs. 590 per share.

 

Seven companies hit the upper circuit limit of 10%.

 

Meanwhile, 10.25% SBL Debenture 2083 (SBLD83) experienced the biggest loss, dropping by 10%.

 

Sector-wise, the "Development Bank Index" led with a 4.52% increase, while the "Trading Index" saw the largest decline, falling by 1.55%, rounding out a day marked by both significant gains and losses across the market.
