NEPSE Index Gains Minimal 0.24% While Non-Life Insurance Sector Leads; Ten Companies Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index rose by 6.90 points, or 0.24%, to settle at 2,830.16 points. This increase comes on the heels of a 127.32-point gain in the previous session, where the index closed at 2,823.25 points.
The trading day began with the index at 2,834.42 points, showing significant volatility throughout the session. The index reached an intraday high of 2,860.43 points and a low of 2,802.92 points before closing at the final level.
Active trading was observed, with 328 stocks changing hands through 144,197 transactions. A total of 30,599,890 shares were traded, generating a turnover of Rs. 13.57 Arba. The market capitalization rose to Rs. 44.94 Kharba, while the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 15.86 Kharba.
NLG Insurance Company Limited (NLG) led the market in turnover, recording Rs. 34.72 Crore and closing at Rs. 1,270.50 per share.
Ten companies hit the upper circuit limit of 10%.
Meanwhile, Himalayan Power Partner Limited (HPPL) posted the largest decline, falling by 8.86%.
Among sector indices, Five sectors indices saw a positive closing. The Non-Life Insurance Index posted a gain of 4.78%, whereas the Finance Index sector faced the largest decline, dropping by 1.57%.
