NEPSE Index Gains Subtly to Close at 2,743.74 Levels; NRIC Sees Highest Turnover Among All Scrips

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a minimal gain today, rising by 3.14 points (0.11%) to close at 2,743.74. This follows a previous session gain of 11.91 points.
The trading session commenced at 2,738.91, with the index oscillating between a high of 2,752.35 and a low of 2,720.69. The day's total turnover reached Rs. 8.62 Arba, encompassing 15,637,006 shares traded across 309 companies through 86,223 transactions.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) led the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 65.66 crores, with its stock closing at Rs. 1,077.
Guardian Micro Life Insurance Limited (GMLI) emerged as the top gainer with a 9.99% increase.
Conversely, Barahi Hydropower Public Limited (BHPL) faced the steepest decline, dropping by 8.35%.
Sector-wise, the Trading Index registered the highest gain, advancing by 3.77%, while the Manufacturing and Processing Index experienced the most significant decline, falling by 0.81%.
