NEPSE Index increases to 1167.95 points after today’s gain; Sensitive Index falls to 253.33 points

The market today gained 0.48% or 5.53 points pushing the NEPSE index to daily high of 1167.95 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.62.23 Crore achieved through trade of 1,491,044 units of shares traded through 7,038 transactions trading scrips of 177 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) posted the highest turnover at Rs.10.06 Crore with LTP of Rs.980 per share. Eight listed companies posted turnover above Rs.2 Crore. Shivam Cements (SHIVM) stood ahead in terms of shares treaded with trade of 109,063 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.466 per share.

SHIVM was today’s top gainer as well after gaining 5.67% or 25 points. Mountain Hydro Nepal Limited (MNHL) was today’s top loser as it lost 5.55% or 5 points and closed at Rs.85 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.06 points and closed at 253.33 points while Float Index gained 0.23 points and closed at 86.24 points.

Banking, Development Banks, Hydropower and Finance sectors were among the losing sub-indices while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points today.
