NEPSE Index Loses 57.12 Points In Two Days: Market Capitalization Declined Below 30 Kharba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 31.49 points, or 1.47%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,098.69 points. The previous trading day saw a loss of 25.63 points for the index.

Today the market started with the index opening at 2,128.56 hitting an intraday low of 2,090.64, and reaching an intraday high of 2,134.81.

During today's trading, there were 307 different stocks traded in 1,50,543 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 18,043,244 with a total turnover of Rs. 6.36 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.07 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.30 Kharba.

 

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led in turnover, totaling Rs. 78.63 crore, and concluded the day with a market price of Rs. 646.

 

Similarly, Upper Syange Hydropower Limited (USHL) showed the highest gain of 9.98%, followed by Mid-Solu Hydropower Limited (MSHL) with a gain of 9.46%.

 

On the flip side, Dordi Khola Jal Bidyut Company Limited (DORDI) experienced the highest loss of 8.33%.

 

In terms of sector indices, Only One sector closed in green today. The "Trading Index" saw the highest gain of 0.35%, while the "HydroPower Index" saw a loss of 2.24%.
