NEPSE Index Loses 91.05 Points In Seven Days:; Total Turnover Lowest In 40 Days

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 3.94 points, or 0.18%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,084.09 points. The previous trading day saw a loss of 10.25 points for the index.
Today the market started with the index opening at 2,088.49 hitting an intraday low of 2,072.78, and reaching an intraday high of 2,096.75.
During today's trading, there were 304 different stocks traded in 91,364 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 11,689,955 with a total turnover of Rs. 3.76 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.73 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.29 Kharba.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led in turnover, totaling Rs. 28.67 crore, and concluded the day with a market price of Rs. 646.80.
Similarly, Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) showed the highest gain of 9.99%, followed by Mid-Solu Hydropower Limited (MSHL) with a gain of 8.79%.
On the flip side, CITIZENS MUTUAL FUND 2 (CMF2) experienced the highest loss of 5.03%.
In terms of sector indices, Five sectors indices closed in green today. The "Trading Index" saw the highest gain of 0.52%, while the "Hotel & Tourism Index" saw a loss of 1.03%.
