NEPSE Index loses points today after three consecutive days of gain; one company hits the positive circuit

The market today reached a high of 1223.66 points and closed with loss of 0.60% or 7.32 points after gaining double digits for three consecutive days. The benchmark index stood at 1209.60 points with turnover of Rs.73.21 Crore achieved through trade of 2,188,491 units of shares traded through 10,060 transactions trading scrips of 172 listed companies in the process.
Womi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (WOMI) posted the highest turnover at Rs.7.16 Crore with LTP of Rs.895 per share. Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 104,223 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.225 per share.
Samata Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (SMATA) hit the positive circuit as it gained 10% or 56 points and closed at Rs.616 per share. SMATA was followed by WOMI with gain of 9.68% or 79 points. Lumbini Bikas Bank (LBBL) was today’s top loser after losing 7.35% or 14 points, closing at Rs.180 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 1.50 points and closed at 263.31 points while Float Index lost 0.59 points and closed at 89.92 points.
Finance, Manufacturing, Others, Microfinance and Mutual Funds were among gaining sub-indices today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
