NEPSE Index Nosedives 10.44 Points While Eleven Sectors Close Red; Market Cap at Rs. 32.79 Kharba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a decline of 10.44 points today, a decrease of 0.50%, closing at 2,068.31 points. This follows a gain of 2.27 points in the previous trading session.
The trading day commenced with the index at 2,095.13 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,086.85 points. The index experienced a low of 2,063.90 points before settling at the closing value of 2,068.31 points.
Today's trading session involved 306 stocks across 53,017 transactions, with a total trading volume of 8,663,699 shares. The overall turnover reached Rs. 3.87 Arba, with a market capitalization of Rs. 32.79 Kharba and a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.12 Kharba.
Mountain Energy Nepal Limited (MEN) led the market in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 17.14 Crores and closing at Rs. 609.90 per share.
Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd (KMCDB) gained the highest, surging by 7.71%.
Conversely, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) faced a significant loss, dropping by 9.28%.
In sector performance, only two sector indices concluded the day in positive territory. The "Finance Index" recorded the highest sectoral gain of 1.82%, while the "Hotel and Tourism Index" saw the highest loss, declining by 0.92%.
