NEPSE Index Plummets 107.76 Points Over Two Trading Days; Market Cap Declined to Rs. 41.03 Kharba

The NEPSE Index fell by 57.03 points, or 2.16%, closing at 2,580.76 on the latest trading day, extending the previous session's loss of 50.73 points.

Trading began with the index at 2,635.97 points, reached a peak of 2,637.52 points, and dropped to a low of 2,570.62 points before settling at 2,580.76 points.

The session saw activity from 312 companies with 92,815 transactions, resulting in a total turnover of Rs. 7.36 Arba and 17,061,807 shares traded. The market capitalization was Rs. 41.03 Kharba, with the float market capitalization at Rs. 14.41 Kharba.

CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) topped the turnover chart with Rs. 31.11 crore, closing its shares at Rs. 1,951.

On the upside, two companies reported a 10% gain each.

In contrast, Goodwill Finance Limited (GFCL) experienced the most significant drop, falling by 9.91%.

Sector-wise, the Finance Index suffered the largest decline of 5.66%, while the Mutual Fund Index recorded the smallest decrease at 1.17%.
