NEPSE Index Plummets 117.95 Points Over Two Trading Days; Market Cap Declined to Rs. 39.28 Kharba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a sharp drop of 58.93 points (2.33%), closing at 2,470.39, following the drop of 59.02 points in the previous session.

The index fluctuated throughout the day, starting at 2,529.14 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,547.47, and dipping to a low of 2,462.61 before settling.

In today's session, a total of 309 scrips were traded through 77,264 transactions, resulting in a volume of 15,504,929 shares. This activity led to a turnover of Rs. 5.68 Arba. The market capitalization was Rs. 39.28 Kharba, with the float market capitalization at Rs. 13.82 Kharba.

NLG Insurance Company Ltd. (NLG) led the turnover chart, trading Rs. 18.41 crore worth of shares and closing at Rs. 1,301.

 

Upper Syange Hydropower Limited (USHL) achieved the day’s highest gain of 7.83%.

 

Meanwhile, Himalayan Hydropower Limited (HHL) hit the negative, marking the session’s biggest loss.

 

Sector-wise, the Finance Index led with a 4.60% decrease, while the Mutual Fund Index declined by the least 0.44%.
