NEPSE Index Plummets 16.95 Points To Close at 2,676.17 Levels; GMLI Hit Positive Circuit

After a 29.82-point incline in the previous session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) lost 16.95 points (0.62%) to close at 2,676.17.
The index opened at 2,691.6, reaching an intraday high of 2,696.50 and a low of 2,654.57. The total turnover stood at Rs. 5.79 Arba, with 10,670,649 shares exchanged across 320 companies through 56,548 transactions.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover chart, recording Rs. 64.25 Crores in trades and closing at Rs. 1,017 per share.
Guardian Micro Life Insurance Limited (GMLI) topped the gainers' list, surging 10%.
Meanwhile, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 5.56%.
Among sectors, the Trading Index posted the highest gain of 3.8%, whereas the Finance Index saw the highest decline of 1.84%.
