NEPSE Index Plunges 25.41 Points; All Sectors Close in Red

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a double-digit loss in today's session, declining by 25.41 points (0.96%) to close at 2,609.67. This follows a double-digit loss of 18.14 points in the previous session.
The NEPSE system experienced significant issues throughout the trading session, causing delays in order placements. The most concerning aspect was that NEPSE did not issue any notice regarding the system malfunction. The glitch in the NEPSE TMS led to a low turnover today.
Starting the day at 2,651.68, NEPSE experienced fluctuations throughout the session, reaching an intraday high of 2,654.82 and a low of 2,602.46. A total turnover of Rs. 3.99 Arba was recorded, with 46,614 transactions involving 8,021,631 shares of 301 listed companies. The market’s total capitalization was Rs. 43.28 Kharba, with the float market capitalization recorded at Rs. 14.49 Kharba.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) led the turnover chart, recording Rs. 20.41 crores worth of trades and closing at Rs. 1,114 per share.
Similarly, Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) topped the gainers' list, achieving a 10% increase in share price.
In contrast, Nyadi Hydropower Limited (NYADI) recorded the steepest decline of the day, falling by 10%.
Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the largest decline, falling 3.60%, while the Life Insurance Index saw the smallest drop at 0.12%.
