NEPSE Index Rallies to 2,742.88 with 43.22-Point Surge; All Sector Indices End in Green

The NEPSE index concluded the trading day at an impressive 2,742.88 points, reflecting a substantial surge of 43.22 points, or 1.60%, compared to the previous close. Following the Dashain holiday, the market rebounded strongly yesterday, achieving a notable gain of 31.48 points.

The trading session commenced with the index opening at 2,704.79, dipping to an intraday low of 2,704.04 before reaching a zenith of 2,748.80.

During the session, a total of 320 stocks were transacted through 65,845 transactions, culminating in the exchange of 13,224,322 shares and a total turnover of Rs. 5.66 Arba. The market capitalization soared to Rs. 43.61 Kharba, while the float market capitalization settled at Rs. 15.41 Kharba.

Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) achieved the highest turnover of the day, amassing Rs. 15.09 crores and closing at a market price of Rs. 1,445.50.

Vijaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (VLBS) experienced the most significant uptick, soaring by 9.33%.

Meanwhile, Upper Syange Hydropower Limited (USHL) encountered a steep decline, plummeting by the maximum allowable 10%.

Among the sector indices, all concluded the day in the green. The "Trading Index" emerged as the top performer, gaining 3.44%, whereas the "Others" sector recorded the smallest increment at 0.57%.
