The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a loss today, falling by 32.21 points (1.17%) to close at 2,719.20. This follows a previous session loss of 20.68 points.
The trading session commenced at 2,770.17, with the index oscillating between a high of 2,762.25 and a low of 2,712.74. The day's total turnover reached Rs. 8.39 Arba, encompassing 15,094,915 shares traded across 303 companies through 92,031 transactions. The market's total capitalization was Rs. 45.15 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.10 Kharba.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 58.65 Crores, with its stock closing at Rs. 1,018.
Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) emerged as the top gainer with a 9.98% increase.
Conversely, Nesdo Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NESDO) faced the steepest decline, dropping by 6.69%.
Among sectoral indices, the Development Bank Index registered the highest gain, rising 1.93%, while the Manufacturing and Processing Index saw the biggest drop, declining by 2.49%.
