NEPSE Index Registers Minor Dip of 0.16% to Close at 2,063.95 Points; SONA Leads Turnover, BNL Faces Steepest Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a slight decline of 0.16%, or 3.34 points, settling at 2,063.95 points at the close of trading today, following a modest loss of 6.24 points in the previous session.
Opening at 2,072.48, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,084.59 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,058.78.
With a bustling trading environment, 305 different stocks were exchanged in 60,016 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 9,445,697, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 3.49 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 32.72 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.08 Kharba.
Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) emerged as the highlight of the day with a substantial turnover of Rs. 19.52 crores, closing at a market price of Rs. 493.
Despite the overall mixed sentiment, three companies experienced positive circuit limits, signaling some optimism among investors.
Conversely, Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited (BNL) faced the steepest decline, losing 9.32% to close at Rs. 18,350.
In sectoral performance, the market saw a varied picture. Three Sector Indices concluded in positive territory, with the "Microfinance Index" leading with a gain of 2.51%. However, the "Manufacturing And Processing Index" witnessed a decline of 1.45%.
