NEPSE index rises by 8.52 points; Turnover limited to Rs 27.78 crore only as festive season approaches

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 8.52 points (0.55%) on Monday, to close at 1545.44 points as investors actively participated in trading before market shuts down for Dashain festival. market-chart The stocks of all the nine trading groups were traded while two of the groups saw a dip in their indices. All sectors except Trading and Hotels saw their indices turning green. The Hydropower sector posted the highest gain followed by banking while the trading sector faced the biggest drop. With 632,089 shares being traded, the total turnover stood at Rs 27.78 crore. indices Synergy Finance Limited (SYFL) led the top gainers group followed by Reliable Microfinance (RMFL) and Central Finance Company Limited (CFCL). Likewise, the top losers were Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) and Taragaon Regency Hotel Limited (TRH).
