NEPSE Index Sees 33.33 Point Plunge to Close Below 2700 Levels, Overall Volume Reached Rs. 5.65 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnesses a 33.33-point (1.23%) decline to close at 2,670.06. This follows a 3.35-point gain in the previous session.

The index opened at 2,702.09, reaching an intraday high of 2,710.13 and a low of 2,667.56. The total turnover stood at Rs. 5.65 Arba, with 10,014,866 shares exchanged across 322 companies through 55,712 transactions.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover chart, recording Rs. 50.36 Crores in trades and closing at Rs. 1,040.10 per share.

Barahi Hydropower Public Limited (BHPL) topped the gainers' list, surging 7.46%.

Meanwhile, Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.09%.

Among sectors, the Trading Index posted the highest decline of 3.11%, whereas the Mutual Fund Index saw the least decline of 0.15%.
