NEPSE Index Sheds 47.44 Points to Close at 2,697.91 Levels, Overall Turnover Inclined to Rs. 8.18 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,697.91 points today, marking a double-digit decline of 47.44 points, or 1.72%, compared to the previous day's close. In the previous session, the index gained minimal 2.47 points.
Today's trading session opened with the index at 2,733.35, reaching an intraday low of 2,689.46 and a high of 2,748.78.
A total of 315 stocks were traded through 88,714 transactions, with 20,868,919 shares exchanged, resulting in a total turnover of Rs. 8.18 Arba.
Goodwill Finance Limited (GFCL) recorded the highest turnover today at Rs. 45.07 crores, closing at a market price of Rs. 1099.10.
Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) saw the highest gain, increasing by 10%.
Meanwhile, Eastern Hydropower Limited (EHPL) faced the sharpest loss, dropping by a maximum of 10%.
Among the sector indices, all sector indices closed red with Finance Index losing the highest 4%.
