NEPSE Index Skyrockets to 2,860.91 Levels With Record-Breaking Turnover of Rs. 25.77 Arba; Market Cap Reaches Rs. 45.41 Kharba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a remarkable surge today, closing at 2,860.91 points, reflecting an impressive gain of 94.53 points or 3.41% from the previous trading day. This performance follows a modest increase of 6.70 points in the prior session, signaling a strong upward momentum in the market.

The trading day began with the index opening at 2,780.09 points. Throughout the session, the index fluctuated, reaching an intraday high of 2,860.96 points and a low of 2,779.24 points before settling at its closing value.

The session witnessed intense trading activity, with 330 scrips traded through 275,207 transactions, leading to an unprecedented volume of 60,321,323 shares. Today's trading resulted in a record-breaking turnover of Rs. 25.77 Arba, the highest in NEPSE's history, highlighting the market's strong liquidity and investor confidence. The market capitalization soared to Rs. 45.41 Kharba, while the float market capitalization reached Rs. 15.76 Kharba, further emphasizing the market's growth.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) dominated the market in terms of turnover, achieving a value of Rs. 1.52 Arba and closing at Rs. 953 per share.

Notably, thirteen companies hit the upper circuit limit of 10%, marking them as the day's highest gainers.

In contrast, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) saw the highest loss, dropping by 10%.

All sector indices closed in positive territory, with the "Life Insurance Index" leading the gains at 4.55%. The "Mutual Fund Index" saw the smallest increase of 0.01%, rounding out a day of widespread market optimism.
