NEPSE index slides by 3.01 points to close at 1541.28 level; Minimal turnover of Rs 37.59 crore only

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has decreased by 3.01 points or 0.19% to close at 1,541.28 points today. NEPSE Index opened 1,544.29 points and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day. Nepse Index Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited (SCB) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 2.51 crore) while Kumari Bank Limited (KBL) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (51,959 units). The best performer for the day was Forward Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) whereas Srijana Finance Limited (SFFIL) was the biggest loser today. The total turnover of the day stood around only Rs 37.59 crore in which more than 6.64 lakh units shares were traded 4,802 transactions. Sensitive and float index down by 0.73 and 0.25 points respectively. Except Hotels and Finance sub-groups, all the sub-groups landed in red zone today whereas others group remained unchanged.
