NEPSE Index Surges 1.80% in Today's Trading Session: 6 Companies Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 36.57 points, or 1.80%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,059.49 points. The previous trading day saw a loss of 26.36 points for the index.
Today the market started with the index opening at 2025.89, hitting an intraday low of 2,025.62, and reaching an intraday high of 2,059.66.
During today's trading, there were 309 different stocks traded in 99,524 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 13,709,276 with a total turnover of Rs. 4.67 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.00 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.06 Kharba.
Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 21.84 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 506.
Similarly, Six companies hit the positive circuit for today.
On the flip side, Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC) experienced the highest loss of 5.46%.
In terms of sector indices, except the "Mutual Fund Index", all the sectors closed in green. The "Life Insurance Index" saw the highest gain of 3.72%, while the "Mutual Fund Index" saw a loss of 0.01%.
