NEPSE Index Surges by 36.86 Points To Close 76 days High; 8 Companies Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 36.86 points, or 1.89%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 1,985.44 points. The index concluded at its highest point in 76 Days. Last time on 27th September 2023, the NEPSE was at 2,004.30 levels. The previous trading day saw a loss of 15.40 points for the index.
Today the market started with the index opening at 1952.19, hitting an intraday low of 1,940.15, and reaching an intraday high of 1,990.39.
During today's trading, there were 297 different stocks traded in 95,433 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 12,463,168 with a total turnover of Rs. 4.30 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 30.61 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.67 Kharba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 18.07 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 529.
Similarly, Eight Companies hit the positive circuit for today.
On the flip side, CYC Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CYCL) experienced the highest loss of 5.11% today.
In terms of sector indices, all sectors closed in green today. The "Hotels And Tourism Index" saw the highest gain of 4.33%, while the "Banking Sub Index" saw the least gain of 0.21%.
