NEPSE Index Surges By Minimal 9.66 Points to Close at 2,676.28 Levels; Hotel and Tourism Index Sees Highest Gain

In today's session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose by 9.66 points (0.36%) to close at 2,676.28. This follows a 3.44-point loss in the previous session.

The index opened at 2,681.8, reaching an intraday high of 2,701.12 and a low of 2,671.65. The total turnover stood at Rs. 4.84 Arba, with 10,073,822 shares exchanged across 317 companies through 45,094 transactions.

NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) led the turnover chart, recording Rs. 42.75 Crores in trades and closing at Rs. 1,717 per share.

Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited (NMIC) topped the gainers' list, surging 9.98%.

Meanwhile, Sindhu Bikash Bank Ltd (SINDU) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.05%.

Among sectors, the Hotels and Tourism Index posted the highest gain of 2.44%, whereas the Trading Index saw the highest decline of 0.40%.
