NEPSE Index Witnessed Minimal Gain of 0.27% While Volume Stood at Rs. 4.18 Arba; Finance Index Suffers Steepest Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed an incline of 5.60 points today, an increase of 0.27%, closing at 2,071.77 points. This follows a gain of 3.21 points in the previous trading session.

The trading day commenced with the index at 2,067.32 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,077.63 points. The index experienced a low of 2,067.03 points before settling at the closing value of 2,071.77 points.

Today's trading session involved 319 stocks across 60,858 transactions, with a total trading volume of 9,435,454 shares. The overall turnover reached Rs. 4.18 Arba.

RSDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (RSDC) led the market in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 14.83 Crores and closing at Rs. 696 per share.

Global IME Bank Debenture, 2084/85 (GBILD84/85) and Makar Jitumaya Suri Hydropower Limited (MAKAR) hit a positive circuit for the day, surging by 10% each.

Conversely, Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SDLBSL) faced a significant loss, dropping by 10.00%.

In sector performance, five sector indices concluded the day in negative territory. The "Investment Index" recorded the highest sectoral gain of 1.70%, while the "Finance Index" saw the highest loss, declining by 2.15%.
